OUR STORY: Hi everyone! My name is Santiago Alvarez I am a senior at Louisiana State University (LSU) and I am the owner of Padrona Coffee! Padrona LLC was founded August 1, 2018. Padrona is a tribute to the memory of our mother and grandmother, Blanca Rosa, who served each cup of coffee with immense love and passion. She taught us that coffee is more than just a drink, coffee is a time to enjoy life’s blessings, connect with friends, love your family and dream bigger.  My Grandmother was remarkable woman. She was the mother of 9 children and had to raise them alone at many times. Though she was very poor, she never let that come in-between providing for her family. She was the head of the household and that is exactly what the definition of the Italian word Padrona means. Unfortunately, my grandma passed away 8 years ago, but her memory lives on in our hearts and now in my coffee bags.

ABOUT COFFEE: Padrona Coffee comes straight from my families farm in the heart of Cundinamarca, Colombia. The coffeeis roasted and packed there and gets sent to me here in the USA. Our coffee isn't ordinary coffee, it's specialty, premium coffee. Coming from a extremely rich region where high-quality coffee is grown, Padrona signifies what Colombian coffee should taste like; a rich, strong coffee with no bitter or burnt taste. We don't believe in mixing beans from different regions as that ruins that profile of the coffee and we don't add any artificial flavors either. This coffee is as "home-made" as can be. Padrona also uses eco-friendly bags with valve degasifers to ensure your coffee is fresh no matter how long you take to open the bag.
Padrona is partnered with Formemos Foundation who support 150 kids in agricultural education. This foundation teaches students about coffee and other agricultural subjects by showing them first hand with hands on experience.  A percentage of all proceeds go to this foundation.

WHY I NEED YOUR HELP: I've always dreaded of doing this but I need help to move on to the next stage. As I said previously, I am a student and the life of a student can be rough. With classes and scholastic obligations, it's hard for me to work multiple jobs to raise money for my company without disregarding school. Long story short, I don't have time to make the capital to go to the next steps. My cousin and I are the sole owners of this company with no outside help. The reason I need your contribution is because I want to enter retail/distributions/restaurants but I do not have the capital to do this. I have many entities interested in Padrona and many believe there is a huge market wide open for premium coffee.

WHAT THE FUNDS WOULD BE USED FOR:
- Mass production of coffee
- Overseas/Air/Ground shipping
-  Storage/Warehouse
- QR codes for multiple products
- Retail liability insurances
- Online & Retail marketing
- Other expenses
With all these funds, they would help us achieve this and get into retail stores and continue with scalability of the company.

CONCLUSION: If you've made it this far, thank you! I ask that you help me as I want to share the memory of my grandmother with the world. Any donation helps no matter the size. If you contribute, thank you so much. If you can't, I understand but hope you can pass the word. I hope you have a great day and God bless y'all!

Best,
