Stigma stops now, action starts now. The intersection of poverty, inadequate access to menstrual products, stigma, and lack of education around menstruation is gravely affecting the lives of many women and girls in India. The negative effects of the lack of access to menstrual products in some parts of India include but are not limited to physical health effects without proper hygiene products, low self-confidence and body negativity issues, and school or work absenteeism which continues the cycle of poverty.

Pad Pals provides these girls and women in India with kits holding reusable pads and instructions on how to sew a pad on their own, raises funds for existing machines that manufacture pads, and combats stigma by providing education and correct information about periods and menstruation.
