Paddock Paradise: A Natural Haven for Horses in Granada

Hi, I’m Kalle.

I’m an animal lover and lifelong horse enthusiast living on the tropical coast of Granada, Spain. Together with my family, I’m creating a space where horses can live in harmony with nature—and where people can reconnect with these incredible animals through kindness, respect, and trust.

How you ask? Well we are transforming a beautiful piece of land on the tropical coast of Granada into a Paddock Paradise—a unique, natural boarding facility for horses that prioritizes their health, movement, and emotional wellbeing.

Inspired by the principles of natural horsemanship, this paradise will provide a holistic alternative to traditional stabling. Horses will live in herds, roam throughout track systems, and feed naturally—just as nature intended.

This project will also welcome like-minded owners to board their horses here, building a community based on respect, compassion, and shared responsibility.

Why We Need Your Help

We’re ready. The land is here. The first two horses are already living peacefully. But to open this paradise to more horses, we need:

• Safe fencing and track design – to encourage healthy movement and herd behavior

• Natural shelter structures – shade and protection from Granada’s elements

• Foraging systems & slow feeders – to replicate wild feeding habits

• Water infrastructure – fresh sources placed naturally along the track

• Community space – for training, learning, and coming together

Bienvenidos al Paraíso de Caballos en Granada

Hola, soy Kalle.

Soy un amante de los animales y apasionado de los caballos, viviendo en la costa tropical de Granada, España. Junto con mi familia, estamos construyendo un Paddock Paradise —un refugio natural y respetuoso donde los caballos puedan vivir como lo harían en libertad: en manada, en movimiento constante y comiendo de forma natural.

Nuestro sueño es crear una alternativa real a los establos tradicionales. Un espacio donde los caballos vivan con bienestar físico y emocional, y donde las personas puedan reconectar con ellos desde el respeto, la confianza y la empatía.

Ya hemos comenzado: los primeros caballos viven aquí en paz. Pero para abrir este paraíso a más caballos, necesitamos apoyo para:

• Vallar y diseñar las pistas de movimiento

• Construir refugios naturales y funcionales

• Instalar comederos lentos y estaciones de forraje

• Llevar agua de forma segura por todo el circuito

• Crear un espacio comunitario para aprendizaje y conexión

Een Natuurlijk Paardenparadijs in Spanje

Hoi, ik ben Kalle.

Ik ben een levenslange paardenliefhebber die woont aan de tropische kust van Granada, Spanje. Samen met mijn familie ben ik bezig met het opbouwen van een unieke plek: een Paddock Paradise waar paarden in kuddeverband kunnen leven, vrij kunnen bewegen en op natuurlijke wijze kunnen eten.

Dit project is geïnspireerd op natuurlijke horsemanship en biedt een liefdevol alternatief voor traditionele stallen. Hier draait het om welzijn, respect en verbinding — voor paard én mens.

We zijn al begonnen! De eerste paarden leven hier gelukkig. Maar om dit paradijs open te stellen voor meer paarden, hebben we hulp nodig:

• Veilige omheining en een goed doordacht tracksysteem

• Natuurlijke schuilplekken voor schaduw en beschutting

• Slowfeeders en voerstations voor natuurlijk eetgedrag

• Waterpunten verspreid langs het parcours

• Een gemeenschappelijke ruimte voor training en ontmoeting
