I am Rob van der Aar, embarking on an exhilarating solo kayaking challenge, Paddle for Egypt 2024. This thrilling adventure not only fulfills my passion for the extraordinary but also serves as a powerful platform to create a positive impact by rallying support and awareness for two vital charitable cause: the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation.

The Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation (MYF), a distinguished Egyptian registered charity NGO, was established in 2008 by luminaries Sir Magdi Yacoub, the late Dr. Ahmed Zewail, and Ambassador Mohamed Shaker. MYF spearheads an extraordinary project, the Aswan Heart Centre (AHC), which has monumental significance for the health and wellbeing of the Egyptian people and operates solely on donations.
