Help Paddle On! Maui stay in business...

Aloha Ohana,

This is Peg, the owner of Paddle On! Maui... Most likely we have met or even spend some quality Ocean time together alone or with your family. We are a very small Private Tour company and have wanted it that way from the beginning so that we could really get to know our guests and invite them into our Island Ohana. Or possibly you are reading this from afar and have been dreaming about this adventure to happen in the future.

This past week, Lahaina Town was devastated and burned to the ground by wildfires, Kula was and is also fighting wildfires currently and parts of Kihei were evacuated from wildfires (Including mine and Brittany's homes). This has resulted in thousands of people that are homeless. After volunteering in the first week after the fire in Lahaina, I can truly tell you that there are no words to describe or explain the sheer devastation and heartbreak that we are all feeling at this time. No words.

Unfortunately, this disaster is affecting our tourism industry which has halted completely… All upcoming tours have been canceled.

It has been painstaking for me to make the decision to make this GoFundMe as I know people are suffering having lost everything. However, I will likely be out of work for months and that is my reality at the moment. We will not be receiving assistance as we were not "directly" impacted by the fires.

The future of my business that I started from nothing and my own future are currently in a precarious position.

We have grown to know so many of you and your families on a very personal level and enjoy seeing your smiling faces again and again.

We have enjoyed watching your children grow up and some of them even have children too! I thank you from the bottom of my heart for including us in your life journey as our Ohana.

I would love to continue to see you in the future, paddling together and being part of this Ohana and I am hoping that you can help make this a possibility.

This money would be used for Paddle On! Maui operating expenses as well as helping me personally stay afloat while helping our friends and community get back on their feet while waiting for tourism to rise again. I will be donating time and energy to our Island Ohana and their needs by volunteering in the meantime.
