Paddle for the Planet: Sophie & Tilly’s Marine Mission ‍

Hi! We’re Sophie and Tilly, two 15-year-old friends who share a love for water, adventure, and the ocean. This summer, we are taking on a big challenge to help protect our planet...

What We're Doing

We’ve signed up to volunteer in Thailand for two weeks in July 2026, working with a marine conservation charity that focuses on saving coral reefs, cleaning beaches, and protecting marine life.

While there, we’ll:

Take part in daily beach clean-ups and coral restoration

Learn in classrooms about different types of coral, fish, and ecosystems

Work alongside a team of passionate conservationists

Gain our PADI Open Water and Advanced Diving qualifications

It’s an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real difference.

‍♀️ Our Ultra Paddleboarding Marathon

To raise funds for the trip, we’re attempting an ultra paddle boarding marathon, 100 km in total, spread over multiple days this summer. We'll be out on the water in different locations and weather conditions, pushing ourselves to the limit all for a cause we care deeply about.

We’ve been preparing for this for years, regularly paddle boarding together in the choppy, challenging waters of the North Sea in Norfolk, building strength, resilience, and determination.

We’re committed to putting in the effort and raising every penny through hard work and heart.
