Paco Ramirez passed away on January 23rd after a quiet, lonely battle with depression. He is survived by his wife Ann, their dog Bean, his mother and father, Cecilia and Frank, and his sister Crystal, in addition to the countless other family members and friends who loved him.
Paco lived a bold life. He was a former Lieutenant in the US Navy, a graduate of the US Naval Academy, stationed around the world in Greece, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. After leaving the Navy, he chose San Francisco as his home, attending culinary school and working for staples of the restaurant industry, NOPA and Mister Jiu's. He received an MBA from the University of San Francisco and moved on to work in the tech industry.
Paco was a gift of a person. He was a light in life for all of us who had the pleasure to know him. There are countless stories we can all share about Paco, I encourage those of us that did know him to leave your best one in the comments below. I know each one will bring joy to the hearts of those who loved him.
Tragically, he left behind his new wife, Ann. Married on September 8th, 2018, she must now find a way to rebuild without the love of her life. Faced with this unexpected tragedy, the accrued cost from their recent wedding as well the costs and complications she's now responsible for, they are a burden too heavy for her to handle alone. We all knew Paco to be generous to friends and strangers alike in his love and support. I ask for the same for Ann now.
