I am a lifelong friend of over 50 years and Tamara is a colleague and dear friend of 8 years. We are asking for help for our dear friend Melissa. Here is her story.

On January 7, Tuesday evening, fires had begun in the hills of California. With 45 minutes notice to pack her things, Melissa left her home of 22 years in the Pacific Palisades with her pup Abbie. In no time, her entire community and surrounding area was demolished. Melissa has told us that she grabbed what she could, not ever thinking she wouldn’t return to her home. It was disbelief and surreal for her.

Melissa is widowed and raised her son DJ in this home. She will have to rebuild her life and a home. She has nothing other than the clothes she took. Her worldly possessions gone. So let’s help this smart, beautiful friend begin to rebuild her life.

We, as her friends love her and are devastated for her. It’s unimaginable.
