My name is Michelle Lee. I am an ocean rower, world record holder and Australian Geographic Adventurer of the year.
The Pacific Ocean is the world's largest ocean, and I plan to row across it... solo, non-stop, and unassisted. I will be the first female on the planet to do this.
I am rowing for freedom. One of the biggest impacts of the world's pandemic resulted in the loss of our freedom and adventure. This effected me so personally that my passion has become my purpose: To fight for our freedom of choice, autonomy over our bodies and freedom of movement.

I will embark on this 14,000 km adventure from the west coast of the USA to the east coast of Australia, and I intend to launch in the summer of 2022 - mother nature will dictate the exact date. I will then row day in, day out completely alone and unsupported for however long it takes - history suggests this will be between 189 and 336 days!
My boat - 'Australian Maid' is being tweaked and refined, my food has been ordered and mental and physical training has already begun.
Throughout my journey there will be regular updates as I send back video, audio and images via satellite so that you can join me on this epic adventure.
Funding is a huge part of this journey; it is often said that getting to the start line is just as challenging as the adventure itself, and in today's climate this has never been more true.
