On July 1, 2017, I was rushed to the emergency room with nausea followed by vomiting. Upon arrival an EKG was performed revealing I was having an heart attack. I was immediately transferred by ambulance to another hospital where a procedure was done in their CATS lab; I got three stents and was hospitalized in  ICU and placed on a machine that was used to operated my heart. I spent 7 days in ICU and was on the machine for 5 days after which I was fitted with a Life Vest that I am still wearing. My Ejection Fraction which is the rate at which the heart beats was measured at 11 - 15%. The normal rate should be over 60% which shows the low position I am in where the function of my heart is concerned. I am now home but my heart is still operating at a low rate. I was informed after 2 months that I need to get a Pace Maker so I can get rid of the Life Vest. It has now exceed three months since the attack.

Unfortunately, I do not have health insurance and is currently on leave without pay. I am therefore unable to come up with money to pay for the Pace Maker in addition to the vast amount of hospital, doctor's bill and prescription costs that I have; and is therefore soliciting funding so I can get mainly the operation done. I constantly have shortness of breath and would like to get my operation done as soon as possible so I can live a more healthy and productive life. 

As we all know the heart is fundamental to function of our bodies and so this is considered a very urgent matter. Any assistance given will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and may God bless you all.
