Pablo's Kidney Fund

Hello Everyone,

My name is Brett Chamberlain, and I am trying to raise money for my good friend, Pablo Del Barco, who desperately needs our help. Pablo is my co-worker, and more importantly one of my closest friends, and he was recently diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma, and needs to have one of his kidneys removed ASAP. The problem is that although Pablo works 2 jobs for 70+ hours a week, he is not offered benefits, and has no health insurance. Needless to say that his pay rate is too low to afford any kind of private insurance. Since he does not have insurance, the hospital wants him to pay for the entire operation up front, which they did not tell him until today, and the surgery is scheduled for Monday morning. So now, the full amount ($10k) is due prior to the operation, or they will cancel Mondays procedure! Wtf!! So I am trying to help get him anything we can before the weekend is over. Right now the cancer is contained inside the one kidney, and if they remove the kidney he's got like a 95% shot of living a normal life. But if he were to have to wait, and it spread to outside the kidney, that number goes down below 20%. So please, anything you can do is very much appreciated. Pablo is one of the most intelligent, hard working, honest, hilarious, just best all around dudes you could ever meet, and it's not fair that because he doesn't make enough money, he doesn't get to have his life saved.. Let's help tip the scales back in his favor, because he's a good person, who deserves it, and because karma is real. Thank you so much everyone, I appreciate you.
