Pablo's Last Year Of College!
Donation protected
I am Pablo Leñero Archer, Mexican pianist, composer, conductor and creative producer. This year I am closer than ever to fulfill my dream of graduating college with a music degree from California Institute of the Arts, but I need your help.

I moved to L.A. from Mexico 5 years ago, studied 3 years in community college and successfully transferred to CalArts where I have been studying for 2 years.

This will be my last year at CalArts and my last year in college, however, tuition is 48,000 US dollars, so even after going part time, working several jobs, receiving scholarships, and loans, my tuition is still too high for me and my family to afford.
(My small dysfunctional family, mom, brother and grandma)
Since I started studying at CalArts my concept of composition was transformed and I started composing almost a new piece every month! Here are some of the pieces:
México Lindo- Concerto for harp and string orchestra
Huey Tozoztli- Ritual for moving percussion trio
¿Qué es la Vida sin la Muerte? - Tango for solo cello
The Sound Of Colours- Guided improvisations through paintings
Feminicidios- Protest piece for mixed ensemble

At CalArts I've had amazing learning and collaborating opportunities that not only has helped me develop my art and my musicianship, but also my leadership and creative production skills.

I co-created an co-produced the first Latin American Arts Festival at CalArts this past February.
The festival is a celebration of Latin American Art that seeks to promote artistic diversity, raise cultural awareness, expose social issues and challenge stereotypes about Latinxs and Latin America in our school and community. From February 12th-16th 2018 we showcased over 50 artists throughout CalArts presenting music concerts, screenings, theater performances, dance performances, and art galleries.

As a part of my tuition fundraising campaign I am producing and performing México Atemporal a series of concerts with Chris Garcia in Mexico and L.A.
-August 26th- St Pauls Church, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
-October, TBD- Los Angeles, CA.
This performance is an ongoing exploration of the symbiosis between indigenous instruments of Mexico and Mesoamerica, the pianoforte, and the electronic manipulation of sound in real time, that seeks to intertwine the resonances of the past and present of Mexico.

Creating music, creating social change through art, and empowering others to create are the three engines that power my life.
Please help me graduate from college, any donation amount helps!
