Hola, mi nombre es Humberto Covarrubias y el dia de hoy me encuentro con la penosa necesidad de pedirles ayuda para mi papá, Pablo.Se que much@s lo conocen ya que el ha trabajado por años vendiendo churros y algonones de azucar por el area del East Side y Hegewisch. Por años a sufrido de cancer y apesar que buscamos atencion medica se nos dijo que su cancer progresaba muy lento y no calificaba para tratamiento. Hace unos meses desafortunadamente su cancer se manifasto en tres diferentes areas y se convirtio de pasivo a agresivo. Hace unos dias se nos informo que esta en la etapa terminal y justo el dia de ayer por la trade fue dado de alta para que pase sus ultimos dias en casa con su familia. La ayuda que pido es para costear los gastos medicos, medicinals y eventualmente los costos funebres. Mi familia y yo les pedimos que por favor nos tengan en sus oraciones ya no perdemos las esperanzas de que mi papá se quede junto a nosotros. Gracias.

Hi my name is Humberto, I find myself today asking help for my dad, Pablo. I know many people from the East side and Hegewisch know him because he has years walking the streets selling his churros and cotton candy. For years he has suffered from cancer and after seeking for medical attention we would always be told that he didn’t qualified for treatment because his cancer was positive and progressing slowly. However, a few months ago everything changed his cancer became aggressive and spread in three different areas. Just last week we were told that he is in a terminal phase and there’s nothing that can be done to help him. Just yesterday, evening he was released from the hospital to have hospice at home with all his family surrounding him. The help that my family and I are asking for is to help us with medical bills, medications and eventually with funeral services. My family and I would like to ask to please keep us in your prayers because we still have hope & faith that he can stay with us. Thank you.
