Hello  my name is Val and i am writing on behalf of my beautiful pitbull Stella.  I had lost my American Staffishire Terrier Aidon (14 years) in January. He was a rescue who rescued me. He was my partner, my buddy, my family. I was grieving deeply when I heard of a dog (stella) that needed temporary care until her family could find a home.  I volentered, and soon found Stella was the best antidote for my grief.  I really started to care for the sweet mushy Pitbull. After two months her family found a home and came and got her. '
        As sad as it was i knew I would see her again. Stella's family soon found they had an opportunity in Miami and they were moving to Dade county.   Miami dade county has harsh restrictions on pitbulls. The restrictions were even harsher in the community they were trying to move to.   They tried to make it work but, soon had to make the unfortunate choice to find the little outlaw a new home. They called and I gladly accepted.     Stella was coming to live with me. I was more than happy.
Her life began in Hawaii, when they moved back to New York they paid to have her brought home. They tried everything to hide her when they moved to Miami . It didn’t work but, it brought Stella back into my life.  
Stella and I are active and she has helped me get moving. Moving off the couch and back out and running.  We go all over to Dog parks Beachs and long walks. Somewhere she contracted Leptospirosis .  I had no idea what this was. I Didn’t know there was a shot for it.  It is a contagious disease that effects the liver and kidneys of animals and humans.  It can be contracted through urine of rats, raccoons and deer.  Her Treament is long and she is isolated. I have paid 1200.  dollars already and have a few thousand to go. At this time I have had too many things happen at once between work being slow my car needed a ton of work, and different life events hitting all at the same time then Stella got sick. It couldnt have been a worse time of year for me. The Winter spring or fall would have been much easier to absorb such a finacial hit.

 I work very hard between two Jobs in the service industry. I just cant handles the onslaught. I love this dog, She is my family it’s me and her and i have nowhere to turn. I know there are so many knoble causes out there. So many humans in need. With treatment she can make it, I just need your help to get her healthy again. She is only three years old and It would mean the world to me for your help.   She is currently at Sunrise Animal Hospital in Rockville Centre New York.  The money will be used to finish her care.  That is all I need. If there should be anything left over it would be dontated to a rescue.  I cant imagine failing her. Thank you for your consideration.
