I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my two-year-old daughter and her mother, whose home in Jamaica was completely destroyed by Hurricane Melissa.

The storm tore through their community, ripping the roof and siding from their house and scattering everything they owned — baby clothes, food, furniture — all washed away. What was once a safe home is now unlivable.

They have lost everything, and my greatest fear is for the well-being of my little girl and her mother as they try to stay safe and dry without shelter.
