Butters vet bills

hey everyone.

I’m Alyssa, making this fundraiser for my kitty Butters. He is 8 years old, and he’s been with me for the entirety of his life - it’s no secret that he’s my spirit animal. he’s my pride and joy, and his health is not doing the greatest right now. I’ve made this with a heavy heart. I’m not one to ask for help in situations like this, but I’m making this fundraiser because I just can’t do it alone. I know times are tough for everyone right now, but any little bit helps!

my baby Butters has developed severe separation anxiety, to the point of stress induced urinary tract issues, urethral & bladder stones, the older he is getting. it started happening pretty badly last year, and has only gotten worse over time. he is suffering from what the vets consider chronic now, feline cystitis - inflammation of the urinary tract (feels like a human UTI but 10x worse in kitties), consistently having to pass stones and crystals from his bladder, occasional trouble urinating or inappropriate urination…it’s not fun. he is in a lot of pain, constantly sedated, and hooked up to catheters and things, and it breaks my heart to see him like this. with that being said, vet visits and medication are expensive. surgery is even more, and the more time that passes, the more I am learning that he will need the surgery. we will have to purchase medication to help treat these issues regularly, as well as future long term anxiety meds for the little baby, and prescription food, for the rest of his life. this fundraiser amount is actually what I’ve spent just within the last month and a half alone, as well as the potential surgery expenses. it won’t help for future expenses but it will at least help me break even.

UPDATE: Oct. 27 - Butters got surgery and was discharged today! here’s to a smooth recovery for my baby. I’m leaving this up in hopes we can still get close to our goal, but surgery was necessary otherwise he would have not made it through the week. I couldn’t have made this happen without the donations of each and every one of you, and will never forget your support. thank you thank you a million thank you.
