Please help Sammy

My name is David Kropf and many of you know me as a person that tries to help others when I can. I mostly do this as an anonymous philanthropist . This is a situation where I need YOUR help. Please please please read this entire request and help me!
My very very good friend Sammy is an amazingly talented, hard working, kind and generous man. He is also a wonderful provider and father of 2 great kids, one who he is helping attend college; now at home due to Covid-19. As a construction worker he has no benefits and no medical insurance. If he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. Most weeks he works 7 days a week to provide a good life for his family. In addition to the below, during the last year he has had his van and all his tools stolen TWICE from outside his own home and been forced to replace them and purchase another vehicle as the van was basically considered a total loss.
On Saturday, December 19th, Sammy was out riding his bicycle with friends and had a stroke, which caused him to fall and hit his face (yes, he was wearing a helmet) He was airlifted to UCLA where he is recovering from face surgery to implant a metal plate and reconstruct his face. He has no memory of the accident and it is unknown still how the stroke will affect him in the future. His memory is quite sketchy and is alone and confused in the hospital. Did I say he normally works 7 days a week? Tuesday was his 45th birthday. The only other support in the household is from his wife that works a minimum wage job in a restaurant, which doesn't even cover the rent in their apartment. It is unknown when Sammy will be discharged and unknown when he will be able to go back to work, if at all. There are so many unknowns!! The family has resources for only about a month and then will no longer be able to pay rent on their apartment and barely be able to purchase food or other necessities. His daughter will have to drop out of college and they will most likely become homeless.
What is needed of course is cash to live on with the hopes that Sammy can get back on his feet and again. He is the hardest most reliable and talented man I have every known!
As for the amount, it is unknown in total at the moment, but rent, food, utilities and basic necessities are estimated to be around $2,500 per month. I am hoping to raise $8,000 to help get them by for at least 3 months.
