Hello lovely people! My name is Edie, and I'm writing this on behalf of my girlfriend Jasmine, who is a 27-year-old trans woman from Dundee.

For the last four years, Jasmine has been on the waiting list to receive gender-affirming care via the NHS. She has still not been seen by the gender clinic.

It's because of this that we're reaching out for help. Jasmine socially transitioned in 2019 - she has been out as a trans woman to everyone in her life for four years. But the reality of not being able to comfortably present femininely in public has been weighing down on her, and seeking private healthcare to transition has become her only option - as more time passes playing this indefinite waiting game, her mental well-being and ability to live her life happily is becoming more and more seriously affected.

Any money received through this GoFundMe will be used to cover the registration costs, blood tests, additional startup costs, and medication required for Jasmine to start HRT via a private gender clinic. The goal may shift as time progresses to cover the costs of laser hair removal, but for the time being, starting HRT is the major priority.

Jasmine has been a presence in my life for four years, and my girlfriend for three. I sincerely believe that she is the love of my life - she makes me beyond happy, and she is far and away one of the kindest people I have ever met. She has so much time and care for everyone, but she frequently forgets to direct that kindness inwards towards herself - odds are she wouldn't have done this on her own, hence why I'm doing it on her behalf.
