Hello, I am Justine Turner and I am the youngest child of Robert Turner. My dad is very funny, caring, giving, selfless, loving, charismatic, positive, prayerful, family-oriented, and lively. My dad and my mom have been married for 25 years and I have an older sister named Emma and an older brother named Casey. He is a grandfather of two; Jaylen is 3 years old and Julian is 2 months old.
My family is very close and tight-knit. Like any other family, we spend Sundays watching football and barbequing, having brunch, and ocassionally treating each other to a family dinner at Old California Mining Co. Some of my dads hobbies include: playing golf, walking the harbor with my mom, singing while watching The Voice, and dancing his way throughout the house. One of my favorite highlights of the week is watching my dad and nephew Jaylen sing on the karaoke machine together and dance to "Uptown Funk" on repeat.
Unfortunately, our lives took a turn. On March 14th, 2016, Robert was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer. We never thought someone as strong as my dad would be hit with this disease. After multiple doctor visits, results indicated that the cancer had spread to his liver and inferior vena cava vein (carries the blood tot he lower part of the body). Doctors precribed him Sutent, a type of chemo pill that helps shrink tumors. He is taking multiple natural vitamins to help rejuvenate his immune system, while adjusting eating habits to properly nourish his body.
So, I am asking you for you donations for his medical expenses such as medications, vitamins, and commuting to doctor appointments. In addition, our family's household expenses such as cleaning supplies to provide a sterile living enviorment. I'm asking you for support and allow us to give my dad the best care that he deserves.
My dad has a lot more to live for, memories to make, and dances to create.
We thank you for your prayers, love, and continued support through this tough trial. We know that God wont give us something we can't handle, so we will defeat this!!
