Here are the loves of my life! Jacques, 14, Fiana, 15 and Tijs, 19. My dream is to be able to buy out the co-owner of our house so that these three can stay living in the house where they have grown up, until they are ready to spread their wings and fly. The money that I hope to raise would cover the notary costs for buying the house. The rest will be covered by the new mortgage.

I feel so blessed to be providing for my family, to be able to teach and make music, work with kids, and to get to raise my three favorite teenagers in a peaceful and loving home. Being a single mom is sometimes tiring and challenging, but also enormously empowering. I have had so much help, love and support from so many people near and far.

Because the first mortgage will be payed off in ten years, it would be much less expensive for us to stay here than to try and find another house. I would also love to be able to spare my sweet kids the upheaval of a big move, after the last few turbulent years they've had. When we moved here, Jacques was 9 months old, Fiana 2 1/2 and Tijs 6. Now, both Jacques and Fiana live here fulltime, while Tijs goes back and forth between his student apartment in Antwerpen and his father's house. He comes here every weekend to practice piano and treat us to beautiful music (though Jacques and Fiana don't necessarily see it that way! ;) )
