Help the Allens

My name is Carolyn Ludorf and I'm starting a fundraiser for my nephew Ben Allen(on the right). Ben flew home from Colorado to surprise his mother, Laurie Allen, (my sister) on her 65th Birthday. While grilling on the deck at his parent's home on Saturday 8/29, the deck collapsed with Ben, his father Dave(middle), and 2 other people on it.


Ben and his Dad were burned when a pot of boiling corn spilled over. Ben's dad, Dave Allen was treated and released for his burns, but Ben sustained 2nd and 3rd degree burns, and is expected to remain in the Hospital for 5 days, and may need skin grafts to his hip. A lot of friends and family have expressed concern for Ben and Dave's well being, and have asked what can they do to help. Dave and Ben could really use financial support to see them through this.

This is a way for family and friends to donate whatever they can to show support and feel less helpless at this time. People coming together to help each other out is what gets us through tough times. I am so grateful to the neighbors and first-responders who helped us out. This fundraiser will give friends, and family an opportunity to help Ben out.  Ben was due to fly back to Colorado tomorrow. I don't know when he'll be able to go back to work. 

Any support would be so gratefully appreciated. Laurie and Dave are such generous and selfless people, and I believe this is a chance for the people who love them to give something back.
