1/2/2024 update:

Week 83

So after the scare late in the day yesterday, blood work was showing heart attack, we are fine. His neuro surgeo came in this morning and confirmed that his osteomyelitis has indeed spread. Surgery will be today. Recovery will be another long one with weeks of antibiotics and inpatient rehab somewhere. I am working ALL I can. The out pouring of support during the last 83 weeks has been amazing. We continue to need financial help in the months ahead. Thank you in advance, God Bless, and Happy New Year.

11/2023

Week 74

Mike is battling MRSA for the 3rd time in 12 months. We found out this week that he is now experiencing small strokes, due to his vascular disease. The Dr's have prepared us that this will continue to be the future we will fight through going forward. His disability has still not been approved. Going back to work will never be an option, unfortunately. The out pouring of love and support has allowed us, combined with me going back to work in May, to make ends barely meet. Thank you for any amount of help!! The love is obvious for my warrior that is fighting to remain in our lives!

Beginning of week 42! It is just so hard to fathom this journey we have been through. The emotional roller coaster is just impossible to describe. November was the month that we were told to prepare for Mike not to make it. Now here we are still battling and throwing every option at his stump to heal to not have an amputation above the knee. His medical needs right now require me to be a full time care taker for him. We will know in 3 weeks if the options we are taking worked. We filed for disability in August of 2022 and still have not even received our first approval or denial. Any help is so greatly appreciated. Please keep those prayers coming for all of us.

Well here we are in week 8 of this journey with Mike. And unfortunately the tunnel is very long. He is still not walking and we started a 6 week long IV antibiotic round yesterday. He will still need open heart surgery but we can not look at that being done until he is mobile and has NO infection. The heart surgery will require him to be down at least 4 weks and that is if he has no difficulties. If you know us you know that without our faith in God we would be more lost then we are feeling right now. We have had so many ask what they can do and I believe we have reached a point now that financially is where we need it most right now. Prayers of course are always number one. Any help is greatly appreciated and will be a true blessing!
