My Dog Needs Surgery

Hi, my name is Cassandra Soto I am 18 years old and this is my dog Jake. I was walking him at night one day with my brother like usual until a loose or stray dog attacked us. It looked like a German Shepard mix, so it was much bigger than him. We are fine, but Jake tried to protect us and had to get surgery. He has fractured ribs, a terrible infection, and his ear got ripped off. For his surgery they had to take a piece from his side to cover the hole the other dog left on his neck. The total for the surgery was over $4500, but it is hard to cover the rest because I am a college student and I work part time. Last week he had to get more tubes due to his infection, so the price went up a little more. I take him 2 times a week to the vet because the other choice would have been to put him down. Anything would help and I would be truly grateful. Thank you.
