We get by with a little help from our friends

Having devoted her career as a PA to caring for leukemia and lymphoma patients over the last 20 years, it is nothing short of a gut punch that we learned our dear friend and co-worker, Jamie Kelly has received a diagnosis of follicular lymphoma. Jamie is passionate about her work and has helped countless patients and families journey through a cancer diagnosis and treatment. It is our turn to show up for her as she has been there for so many others.

 

This lymphoma is a treatable cancer, but it will still disrupt her usual cadence of life while she undergoes chemotherapy (R-CHOP specifically for all her onc friends who will want to know her regimen).

 

As a community, we want to give our support around Jamie, her husband Mike and her 3 boys: Nick, Jack, and Sam (Slug). We all know and love them to be a family on the go between games, practices and various sporting events. We don't want cancer to keep them from the happy chaos of their lives.

 

So let's help lessen the burden of the coming months by giving Jamie and her family a financial boost that allows her to focus on her own treatment and healing as well as the opportunity to spend time with her family as she navigates her cancer journey.

 

All money raised from this GoFundMe effort will go directly to the family. We hope the funds can alleviate stress and provide an opportunity to add any needed supports they choose.

 

We cannot take the pain from her, but we can add our love.
