We are reaching out with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency to share the story of Piper, a beloved family member who is bravely battling a severe health crisis. Piper, a cherished dog and loyal companion, has been diagnosed with a fast-growing tumor suspected to be soft tissue Sarcoma. This tumor, located in her left maxillary region, is affecting her sight and causing her significant pain. Despite our best efforts with medication, Piper’s condition is deteriorating rapidly. Piper’s family is doing everything they can to support her during this challenging time.
Her owner, a single mom working two jobs, is also raising five children, two of whom are in college. The love and care they have for Piper are palpable, but the financial burden of her treatment is overwhelming. The cost of radiation therapy and a biopsy to confirm the exact type of cancer is $15,000—a sum that is beyond their reach. We are fortunate to have a specialized cancer treatment facility nearby with a skilled radiologist who can perform this critical treatment.
