Hi, our names are Jennifer & Melissa Clinton. We are sisters of Tiffany Clinton. Tiffany is a loving daughter of Richard & Eleuteria Clinton, sister, and Aunt/Godmother to Mason Clinton. She cares for family and friends and puts everyone before herself. Tiffany enjoys the lakes, beaches, reading, calm quiet places, and spending time with loved ones. She is a St. Johns Alum and has been an EMT for 10 years. It is her passion to help and save others.
On January 27, 2023 Tiffany was working her regular EMT shift when she began to feel weak and dizzy. Her partner rushed her to Kings County Hospital due to her symptoms and blood pressure being very high and alarming. They ran blood work and asked her if she was pregnant because her stomach looked distended. When the blood work came back, she needed to get four rounds of blood transfusion. The doctors then advised Tiffany to get a CT scan. We will never forget the look on the doctor's face when he told me that Tiffany has 3 large masses in her stomach. Right away she was admitted and was at Kings county hospital for 5 days and required continuous CT scans, MRI, blood work, pain medications, and echocardiograms. After she was discharged from the hospital, we had to rush her to another hospital because she was in so much pain. Her legs and feet were swollen and she was unable to walk. She was retaining too much fluid due to the large masses pressing against her organs. Finally, we all agreed with the family that the next hospital that we took her to would do anything and everything in our power to admit her because we don't have the correct care she needs at home.
That is when we went to Bellevue and our cousin, a doctor, went over all her blood work and noticed her PRO B type (heart-related) was abnormal. Once we mentioned that to them, Tiffany was admitted. As more results of exams became available, we started to realize how serious Tiffany's condition is. On February 10, 2023 the oncologist diagnosed Tiffany with stage 4 grade 3 Cervical cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer is incurable and Tiffany is left with very few options. Tiffany will begin chemo infusions Feb 27, 2023. As of Jan 27, 2023 Tiffany has been out of work. Donations will be going towards the medical expenses and treatments that she will need moving forward with this new incurable life-changing disease.
