I’m Terry Millan’s sister & I have created this Gofundme in hopes of helping my brother with his ICU hospital bills.

My brother left his home in Canada for Salinas, Ecuador 3 weeks ago & for the past 2 weeks has been in ICU fighting for his life.

Thankfully a very good friend & his interpreter got a key to his apartment because she felt there was something wrong & found him in bed seriously sick, was having trouble breathing & barely responsive & looking very gray.

When he was first admitted to the ICU his kidneys were failing, his white blood cell count was through the roof at 29,000, they have lowered to 23,000 & thankfully today the count is down to 16,000, but still too high.

He is currently on 3 different antibiotics to fight a life threatening infection.

When he was first admitted on Dec 13th his good friend Solange called me through messenger to say the hospital called her, that she come right away that there were complications.

She called me back once she got to the hospital & said that his heart had stopped & they had to resuscitate.

Thankfully since that night his vitals have been good.

He had a bowel movement several days ago that showed blood.

They performed an endoscopy to see where the blood was coming from and found he has a gastric erosion, but thankfully no ulcers.

Because he’s lost blood, he’s now anemic & requires a blood transfusion.

He remains somewhat disoriented.

I have been able to see & talk to him through messenger video.

I saw him yesterday & he is feeling very alone, scared, hopeless.

I told him how much his family & friends love him & are praying for him & to keep the faith & he will soon again walk the beautiful beaches of Salinas.

Terry loves it there & has been going there every winter for several years now.

The other issue he's facing is financial.

His friend can't seem to find in his things any travel insurance, which I know my brother well enough to know that he wouldn't travel without it.

His friend Solange has given the hospital some money from his credit card & bank card, but I have no idea at what point he runs out of money.

As you can imagine Terry’s hospital bill is climbing every day & currently owes $4400 USD

I’m asking on behalf of my brother to donate to a very worthy cause to go towards paying his hospital bill.

Any amount would be deeply appreciated.
