My grandson recently graduated from Webster Groves High School where he played varsity basketball, with a portion of his graduation money he received he purchased a scooter to get back and forth to work for the summer. He was involved in a hit and run accident on June 28th on which caused his scooter to catch fire and him with injuries that will require surgery at a later date. Jalen's injuries require him to have dressing changes to his face, both hands and leg twice a day. Jalen has a long recovery process ahead of him. Jalen is unable to tell us about the accident or anything leading up to the accident due to the concussion he sustained. Our family is waiting for the police officer or the police department who is handling the accident to contact us with information. We as a family are thankful & blessed that he is still with us. Our goal is to raise money to help with medical supplies, medical bills and help him replace reliable transportation for him to get back and forth to carpentry school this fall. Our family thanks everybody for the positive thoughts and prayers.
