I'm here today to ask for your attention and help. I'm from the south of Brazil and our region has suffered an extremely sad natural disaster.

Storms have affected almost two thirds of the state's 497 cities, causing landslides, road destruction and bridge collapses, as well as power and water cuts. Dams broke, flooding entire towns, taking everything in their path. Hundreds dead, many families missing, children unattended and countless houses lost, with literally everything inside. My family has a boat and is helping to rescue those in need, but our resources are also limited. If you can help by donating any amount, the money will be used to help people in shelters, buy food and personal hygiene items.

My city (Canoas - Rio Grande do Sul) has 60% of its surface under water and most of these people will have no chance of rebuilding their lives. If you don't feel safe sending money here, please try to find out on the internet and help in any way you can, any small amount such as 5 euros is a huge help and my intention here is to get this disaster noticed and help people from as far away as I can (flying home is not an option at the moment, airports are closed for at least until the end of May).
