Hi everyone... I was hesitant to post this because my family usually tends to be more private, and we do not have the habit of asking others for help. However, in this case -- I feel like there is a need for some support. My dad suffered a stroke the day after his birthday, 4/17/2022. Fortunately, he survived thanks to my mom being able to assist him and call the ambulance in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, my dad had a blood clot removed from his brain that caused some physical and cognitive complications. Thankfully, he has been progressing, but it is a long road to recovery and he will need additional surgery. My mom's insurance does not cover expenses entirely, and she faces heavy hospital expenses. In addition, my dad is currently considered disabled and will have to receive rehabilitation services as he will not be able to go to work and my mom will have to take some time off of work. This has been a devasting event that has impacted our family heavily. We are so thankful for the support our family and friends continue to give us. Anything is appreciated and all funds will be used toward medical expenses and additional services. Thank you so much.
