On Sunday 2/5, my husband Justin experienced an unexpected fall from an 8ft ladder. He was rushed by helicopter to the Trauma unit where it was determined he suffered a severe Tibial Plateau break of his right leg below his knee and a severe break of his left ankle. He had surgery on Monday 2/6 to place external fixators on both legs to assist with swelling. Justin has been in the hospital since the accident to prepare for additional surgeries. He attends physical therapy to prepare for his return home. He will have surgery on 2/20 for his right leg and again on 2/21 for his left ankle. They will remove the external fixators and mend the breaks with screws and metal pieces.

Once the surgeries are completed, he will remain in the hospital until deemed he is ok medically to return home. Justin will not be able to bear any weight on his legs for 8-10 weeks post-surgery. He will return home with a wheelchair and medical bed to assist in his recovery.

Due to these unexpected events, Justin's recovery will take months, not allowing him to work. His recovery is our #1 focus.
