Rene Havard's Cancer Treatment

This month, our beloved friend and sister in Christ, Rene Havard, was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that is already spread to her liver. This diagnosis is particularly devastatating given the cancer journey they had just completed with her husband, Jeremy. In January 2015, Jeremy was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and began radiation that ended in March. He opted out of surgery and began chemo instead. After fervent prayer and many sleepless nights, they returned to MD Anderson in October to prepare for surgery. However, after tests were done, Rene and Jeremy were told by very shocked doctors that the cancer was gone! God answered their prayers for Jeremy's complete healing, and now we are asking Him to do the same for Rene. Unfortunately, Rene's insurance will not cover her treatment at MD Anderson or any other cancer institute, thereby forcing her to seek chemotherapy locally. Her insurance is also refusing to pay costs that are essential to her receiving the best possible treatment. In addition to these costs, they are still trying to pay off Jeremy's cancer treatments as well. At this time, Rene is unable to work, and Jeremy is struggling to maintain his business and help care for their son, Colton. The funds you donate will go directly to Rene's medical costs and the home care that she may need in the future. What we truly ask, though, of everyone reading this is to PRAY. We believe that God still performs miracles, and right now this beautiful mother and friend needs one desperately. Though the doctors have told her that her cancer is inoperable and incurable, we, as Christians, know that God is the master healer.  Their son, Colton, has said that he is afraid God has saved his dad only to take his mom. Yet, God does not run out of miracles, and that is what we will continue to pray for! Please know the situation is urgent, and any donation that you give will be a blessing to this sweet family.
