Hi everyone! My name is Amari Cooper, and I serve as Miss Hinds Tri-County as a part of the Miss Mississippi Organization. As part of my journey as a local titleholder in the Miss America Organization, I’m working on my Community Service Initiative, Education Matters. This initiative focuses on making sure students have the supplies they need to succeed in school.
It seeks to honor the late Mrs. Janice Brown, my childhood youth pastor, who was passionate about children’s education. That’s why I’m helping create the Janice Brown Education Matters School Supply Backpack. Through this project, we provide students with backpacks filled with school supplies, along with books, clothing, and other essentials for the school year.
I’m currently collecting monetary donations or items such as school supplies, children’s clothing, and books to support this effort. Any contribution helps.
Additionally, if you would like to support me as I head to the Miss Mississippi Stage, I’m also raising money for the American Heart Association.
Donations to the GoFundMe page will be split evenly towards supporting the Education Matters School Supply Backpack, raising money for the American Heart Association, and offsetting the cost of competing with the Miss Mississippi Organization.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how to help, please send me a message. Thank you so much for supporting me and helping invest in the future of education! ❤️
