Hi, we are starting a fundraiser to help us get through a terrible financial crisis and keep a roof over my family's head.

I've been the breadwinner in our family and due to rheumatoid arthritis and severe osteoarthritis, I'm no longer able to continue my 30-plus-year medical career. We have gone through our savings and are struggling with our housing and bills. I filed for disability in November 2024, and unfortunately, it can take 1-2 years for approval even with an attorney.

My mom passed last year, and we took in my adult niece who suffers from severe anxiety and has a lengthy psychiatric history, so she is dependent on us.

I'm 59 years old and have been working since I was 16. You never realize that you're only a few paychecks away from losing everything after an illness or medical emergency.

Those who know me know I don't ask for help and have the "I got it" attitude, and I always have. The past few months have been very humbling for sure!
