Help Support Baby Knox Wilken
Donation protected
My name is Lizzie and I am a very close friend of Leah and Cameron. As most of you may already know, they brought a new bundle of joy into the world a little over a month ago. Knox was born on December 3rd, 2015 with d-Transposition of the great arteries of the heart, an anatomical defect that requires immediate open heart surgery. A week into his life, he had his first surgery performed to reattach the vessels in their correct anatomical positions in order for the blood to flow properly from his heart through his lungs for oxygenation. One of the complications that can arise from this surgery is the paralysis of the vocal chord, which in fact, Knox is dealing with as well. He had a procedure done this morning, January 12th, 2016, in an attempt to repair the paralysis of his vocal chord. We are all hopeful of a successful procedure, but if it does not turn out to be a success, a tracheotomy will be necessary.
Little Knox has spent the majority of his short life, thus far, in and out of the hospital. The donations will be used to help out with the medical expenses that they are facing. Any and all donations, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated. And no "thank you" could ever thank you enough for your love and support!
