Everyone, meet Cha Cha the Chihuahua. Cha Cha came into my life, along with her sister Chewie not too long ago from an unwanted and unfriendly environment. Her and her sister are just 2 of 6 other Chihuahuas I have taken in, who all share a very similar hard luck story. As you may know, there is unpresidented number of stray and unwanted Chihuahuas in the state of Arizona. I've always pledged to myself that if an animal or person crossed my path that needed help, I would get involved. In all of the places I've lived over the years, I have never come across so many animals in need, while living in Arizona.
I started out taking in one, then two, and before I knew it, I had six all in a short period of time. They're definitely a handful. I never thought I'd end up with this many, but once you open yourself up to somthing, you never know what life is going to throw at you. As a result, I can honestly say that they have given me much more than I have given them. As you can imagine, my house is pure craziness at times. Seeing them all in action is like watching the latest Jackass movie. Cha Cha definately does her best to keep up with the rest of the cast of characters, all bigger in size and more daring than she is. However, during their last episode she somehow managed to tear the ACL on her left rear knee and is need of a very costly surgery that we need help with. Despite her limp, her bouts of weezing and sneezing, she still manages to keep a brave face.
Cha Cha is awesome. The cutest, sweetest most friendly dog. When I got her, she was under weight, afraid, balding in some spots and mostly kept to herself. It didnt take long before she came out of her shell and flourished while being with the others. Now all she wants to do is hang out and cuddle and give love. With your help, she will be back doing what she loves.
