The Peter Fund

Hello my name is Giuseppe and this is about my close buddy , This is Peter’s Story!

Peter and I have been friends for over 20 years.  When we first met I knew Peter to be very active and outgoing.  He was an active outdoorsman, drove his motorcycle and loved hiking.  He was also part of a traveling softball team.  He loved to play sports.  He was a Union worker.  He helped rebuild Ground Zero and worked on the team that built Tower 1.

In 2005, Peter was diagnosed with melanoma of the lip and beat it. In 2011 he was diagnosed with cancer.  This time a brain tumor.  Again, he beat cancer.  On April 17, 2015, Peter was again diagnosed with cancer, this time it is on his spinal cord which mutated causing him to be paralyzed from the waist down.

Not being able to care for himself, he decided it was best to check into a Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facility.  At first the care was great but then it started lacking.  He was left dirty, he contracted shingles, and was covered in bed sores from not being repositioned . The more he asked for help, the worse the care got.  So due to those reasons, he stopped paying the facility, rightfully so.  They decided that instead of taking better care and fixing their issues, that they would rather evict him.  Not only that, they froze ALL his assets.

If you have the privilege of knowing Peter, you know that he is a great person, always upbeat and willing to help or give a word of advice.  He’s been there for many of our friends.

I’m asking that you help him out financially.  The money will be used , so he can receive the proper care that he deserves and should be getting.

Right now he needs to be in an apartment where he can afford the rent and be able to pay for his many medications and doctor appointments.  Many people don’t care that Peter is paralyzed because of cancer.  This isn’t about cancer, Peter has never made this about cancer, this is about helping him to have a better quality of life.  Put yourself or your family member in his position, it isn’t a nice position to be in.

Thank you for your time.  If you can find it in your heart to help my friend out THANK YOU!  Every penny counts.
