Bonnie's Battle

Bonnie, our brave, strong and beautiful mom and grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to her brain. Unfortunately, the system has failed us. She is 10 months too young for Medicare, barely over the poverty level for Medicaid, and her private insurance policy will not be effective until January. The cost of her life saving medical treatment is already overwhelming and standing in the way of her much needed care and we have only just begun this disheartening journey. We can NOT let money be the reason she doesn't get the care she needs to win this battle!
