Hi! My name is Alex Dismuke, and I’m a clarinetist with a dream. I’ve been playing since 6th grade, and since then, music has not just shaped my life but it’s become something I’ve been truly passionate about. From the sleepless nights of juggling school and sports, the clarinet has always been something I keep coming back to.

I’ve been honored to serve as 1st chair in multiple honor bands, including the highly selective Colorado All State Orchestra. This year I was accepted into the Denver Young Artists Orchestra (DYAO) and this huge opportunity comes with even bigger financial challenges. Between the tuition to actually join the group, flights for college auditions, gas, reeds, and two professional clarinets I need to keep playing at this level, the costs are staggering and I’m self-funding every dollar.

I’m currently working three jobs to support this dream, but even with all the hours I can put in, it’s still not enough. That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Your support isn’t just helping me afford instruments or plane tickets. It’s helping me take the next step toward becoming the musician and person I’ve worked so hard to be. Music has carried me through every challenge life has thrown at me, and now I want to carry it into a future where I can inspire others the same way it inspired me.
