This is Sadie Winberg. She’s 14, beautiful, funny, smart, kind, thoughtful, and a kick ass volleyball player!! In December, she tested positive for Covid and then suffered a stroke, causing her to undergo multiple life threatening brain surgeries to address the consequences of the stroke. She was life flighted to a nearby PICU facility where she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. There have been multiple life threatening complications since that time including organ inflammation, infections, and kidney distress, to name a few. She is literally fighting for her life. Once she overcomes this critical time, her future entails various treatments and lengthy stays in the hospital. Her parents have been by her side every minute and the community has stepped up and provided tremendous support. Please consider donating to help her family get through the fight of their lives. We can’t wait to see her back on the volleyball court and find out what amazing things she will do in the future!
