My name is Juan, I live in Cardiff, Wales. A Few weeks ago I invited my friend Olga from Colombia where we both are from, to spend some time in the UK. We had plans to travel and Olga was taking the opportunity to learn a bit of English. On Tuesday 14 March, Olga started to feel poorly and collapsed. We took her to the hospital where she is right now and the diagnosis is hard to take, she is in an induced coma and the Doctors are still trying to work out what she has. They operated on her to remove some liquids from her stomach but they think she has a blood lymphoma/blood cancer and a sepsis infection. She is currently in the critical care unit of the University Hospital of Wales and we do not know what the future will hold. Doctors said we have to wait to find out what exactly is happening and what is causing the infection. In the meantime, Olga’s son, Kevin is in Colombia and we are opening this gofundme to collect money to help Kevin to come to the UK to spend some time with his mother and also for the expenses Olga will incur from now. She doesn’t have a wealthy family and relies on friends for help. If you wish to donate to Olga’s cause, many many thanks.
