Harry’s biggest fight

Hi my name is Shona I am a family friend of the West family and am creating this page in the hope we can arrange some help for Harry West.

On 8th Feb 2023 Harry took a day off work for day surgery unaware his world was about to change. Harry was put into Intensive care In Dubbo hospital diagnosed with an aggressive skin cancer which has spread to his lymph nodes and other parts of his neck. Harry is currently in St Vincients hospital in Sydney where he will stay for some time where he will undergo intensive Chemo and Radiotherapy..

Harry is a very hard working family man who lives on a farm just outside of Dubbo. Harry and his wife Lowana have both had to leave work in Dubbo to commence treatment immediately. Harry has been sick on and off for the past 12 months meaning leave entitlements are very limited.

The family have been through their fair share of heartache over the last few years spending 2020 in Westmead with his grandson Durakai after a motorbike accident the family are familiar with the hospital system.

Harry is an extremely proud man and not wanting any attention however I am writing this with permission from his family in the hope that we can reduce some of the financial pressure and help the family spend quality time with Harry as they face another huge hurdle.
