Elliana Paige Pavalone

This is my five-year-old niece Elliana Paige Pavalone. She lives in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Recently, she has been diagnosed with a very serious and rare disease called Arnold Chiari Syndrome. This is a condition where the base of the skull and upper spinal area are not formed properly. Because of this, the indented bony space at the base of the skull is abnormally small. As a result, pressure is placed on the bottom part of the brain, which controls a person’s balance. Because of this syndrome, Ella has faced many challenges in her life and is currently undergoing complex medical treatment. On Monday, March 16th 2015, Ella underwent brain surgery to help curb the affects of this disease. She came out of surgery and is recovering but faced more problems when she showed allergies to the medication being used to manage her pain. Ella's family is currently being housed in the Ronald McDonald House in Danville but is faced with the many compounding expenses associated with this surgery for Ella.
To hold up my end of the deal, I will be doing a 100-mile century ride from Missoula to the Bitterroot valley next weekend in support of Ella and her family. I am asking for any show of support that you are able to offer. I know that I've fundraised for various causes before and have been thankful for the generosity that people have shown for Special Olympics and the GAN Warriors..but this is different: This is family and this little kiddo needs our help. 100% of the proceeds will go to Ella. Any small donation will help or if you want to join me on the ride, that would be great too! If you cannot make a monetary donation, please say a prayer for this little one.
Much Thanks,
Paige Pavalone (Ella's Montana Auntie) and
Francesca Marie (Ella's cousin)
