Doug Dotson's Medical Fund

Hi Everyone,
This fundraiser is for my big brother Douglas Dotson.
A month ago Doug's right side of his body went numb. He went to ER and they did a CAT scan and found a brain tumor. He was then rushed down to UCSF to have brain surgery to remove the tumor. At that point we found out he has stage 4 lung cancer that had metastisized to his brain. The brain surgery went very well and he got some immediate relief from his symptoms. He was then referred to a UCSF Oncologist to make a plan of how to fight and beat the cancer.
The oncologist ordered a PET scan to see if the cancer had spread to any other areas. We just received the results and it wasn't welcome news. Doug has cancer in 3 neck vertebrae, lower back, rt arm , adrenal glands and his liver. He also has blood clots in his other lung.
He will be starting Radiation next week, 5 days a week for 2 weeks, in Ukiah. Then on to getting started with Chemotherapy and we don't know the details of that yet. The Dr is optimistic that the treatment will start shrinking the tumors immediately and he wont be in so much pain.
Since all of this has happened, Doug has had no income. Him and his family are suffering a financial hardship and are now behind on their bills. They do not have the money for gas to take him back and forth to his appointments (main Drs in S Fran, others in Ukiah), medical expenses and medications. His truck tires were bald and unsafe so they had to borrow money to get tires and get him to appts. He has filed for SDI and he hasn't received any money yet. It will certianly help, but they lived paycheck to paycheck when he worked full time. So the SDI income won't be enough to cover his and his families expenses when he finally gets it. His wife is disabled and can't work either because of her medical problems. He has a long hard fight ahead of him but we are rooting him on and trying to stay positive!
Doug is a very loving and giving person but finds it hard to ask for help for himself and family. Therefore, I am starting this fundraiser for them. PLEASE HELP with whatever amount you can. Everything helps and it all adds up. You can also donate through Sentry Market in Nice, Ca. , send to his PO Box 1741,Lakeport, Ca. 95453 or Checks/money orders to Chase Bank
acct #126021590.
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!
GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU.......
