Hello:) My name is Alijah. In October of 2025 I adopted Hank, a 10 year old staffy mix from a local pound. From the first photos I saw of him on Facebook to seeing him in person I knew he was meant to be at home with me to be showered in lovins. Upon adopting Hank, I was told about him having an ear infection and was on his 3rd round of antibiotics. The next week as Hank got settled, I noticed a foul smell coming from his ear that was a lot more intense than a “normal” ear infection. After multiple vet visits and a trip to a specialist we learned that Hank did not have just a regular ear infection. Scans and external evaluation by professionals showed Hanks right ear canal suffered trauma from what we believe to have been a dog attack. We have reached the point of diagnosis where he must receive the TECA surgey. TECA stands for Total Ear Canal Ablation. Hanks entire internal right ear system will need removed. The cost is estimated at $6k. I work full time but after paying bills, I do not have the funds for this surgery. I applied for CareCredit but was denied. I’m asking that you help me give hank a quality of life he deserves as before he was with me he ran the streets homeless. But he’s a survivor and I know getting this surgery will help him realize he doesn’t have to live in survival anymore and can live the rest of his old man life in comfort surrounded by a family that loves him.
