Help Sue Heal

Hello! My name is Jen and I am raising money for my beautiful friend Sue.

If you are reading this you may know Sue Sherlock: a mom of two fabulous kids, wife, daughter, friend and hard working realtor.

On November 10, 2020 Sue was diagnosed with Stage 3C rectal cancer. Scans revealed the cancer had also spread to her lymph nodes. The next month was filled with tests, scans and the start of chemotherapy in hopes of starting to shrink the rectal tumor. Unfortunately, the diagnosis got worse. There was also metastasis to her liver. She was told it was very small, that the chemo would take care of it and it was in a good spot for liver resection surgery. However, this was not to be the case.

Since her diagnosis in 2020, Sue has sought out and followed the advice of highly qualified medical professionals both in conventional and leading edge alternative oncology including traveling to Hope 4 Cancer twice in the last 11 months. Despite these immense efforts, almost every scan and test has returned bad news: the cancer has metastasized to the lungs and further in the liver and a new growth was found in the colon. Sue has undergone a liver resection, treatment for a colonic perforation, numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, rectal surgery, a colostomy and most recently a Y90 radiation procedure to her liver. Her daily routine involves an intense regimen of self-care and alternative treatments.

As you might imagine, after almost 2 years, the burden of this illness is taking its toll-physically, emotionally and financially.  It is with a heavy heart that Dave and Sue are now asking for your financial support. Please know that this request is not taken lightly.

A promising new treatment for cancers and other chronic conditions is currently being studied at numerous cancer research centers. This treatment involves creating a peptide-based vaccine specific to the individual patient’s cancer. There are public clinical trials currently underway however these clinical trials are not an option at this point for Sue. A private company, Neo7logix Bioscience, offers the same treatment in California. This treatment has been recommended by several of Sue’s health providers. As all other medical treatments have not prevented progression, now is the time to try something new. And this IS IT!  Unfortunately, as the peptide is specific to the genetic makeup of Sue’s cancer, this is not a treatment that can be mass-produced and is therefore very costly. The total cost is $108 000.00. This is just for the peptide treatment and does not include additional required therapies or travel expenses. Sue and Dave are seeking to raise half of the cost via this GoFundMe campaign.

Please help Sue and her family in this time of need.  Help her get to the other side of this journey so she can spend her days with her family and friends doing things she loves-being outside, working, going to the beach, cooking, gardening, going to yoga, biking and traveling.

Thank you for all your love and support.
