Support Mateo's Battle with Leukemia

This Thursday unfortunately my son Mateo was diagnosed with leukemia. He kept getting fevers, pale, dark circles around eyes and just wanted to sleep. I took him to his pediatrician and she said he’s maybe getting over the ear infection and that those symptoms are normal. He also had swollen lymph nodes behind ears and she also said that was normal for his age but she never took blood work or anything, like if she was guessing. My son’s fevers kept coming back and I took him to another pediatrician they took blood work Thursday morning and I went home and they called me saying unfortunately your son has cancer. I was in shock, I was frozen, I went to the room where my son was watching tv and even though he’s too small to know what is going on I apologized to him and begged god to give it to me but not him. This is my rainbow baby like how could this happen. Things can change so quickly and I just want to cherish my son every step and hard days that are ahead of us. I hope god hears me and takes this away from him, he can give it to me but please not him. This is the last thing I thought would happen. I just wanted to say please advocate for your child because to some doctors everything is “normal” even if you think it’s nothing it could be something. You know your child best so don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re overthinking. I’m sorry Mateo all I wanted was for you to have a happy and painless life.If anyone is willing to donate it will be so helpful for our baby treatment and expenses during this hard time thank you.
