Hello close family and friends!! I'm taking a mission trip to serve the Lord and grow my character. I've realized someone getting saved and knowing Christ is more important than the summer I had planned with friends. I know I know a missions trip to Hawaii!? Give me a second to explain, as glamourous as it sounds it's located in Whameia, Ohau. The community I will be serving is in the middle of the island far away from the tourist locations. To give you examples of where I will be staying, the properties, and businesses next to our apartments are strip clubs, brothels, liquor stores, and a large homeless community. I will be working 40 hour weeks (not paid) at shops, farms, and other places making the organization run. I will be in 3 biblical classes equipping us to preach and know God's word. I will be sent to evangelize and "fish for men" as Jesus says. The days are all 9-5 packed days of serving. Don't worry we get Sundays and Mondays off so I can enjoy the island. I just wanted to stress this is not a vacation. In the second month, I will be leaving Hawaii and traveling to ethier Morocco, Indonesia, or Egypt to reach those communities with the word of God. I really believe God is calling me to do this. It's been a radical few months following Christ. Through hardships, God has taught me to rely on and yield every aspect of my life to him. I had planned to live in Colorado for summer and enjoy friends and live off my savings having a no-stress summer. It seems like God wants me to put my faith in him and drop my desires to serve him. If this is God's will he will provide I cherish and love all of you so much. Anything will help towards my goal as most of the cost will come out of my own pocket. God bless you and I could really use prayer. I don't care if you do donate towards this trip what I do care about is your prayers that God would move and his spirit would fill me up. So I'm enabled to plant seeds where ever I serve.
