Our Adoption
Donation protected
For several years, we have felt the Lord prompting us to pursue adoption from India. He has blessed us both with a deep love for children and we are humbled and excited to begin the journey. The global need for forever families is huge and we believe God is calling us to be one of those homes and invite children to experience the freedom and forever earthly and eternal family found in Christ. After traveling to India on a mission trip last fall we were even more convicted on our call to adopt. The global issues of orphans living in poverty hit is right in the face. The poverty was indescribable. Our hearts were deeply impacted by this reality and although we may not be able to personally change the world by adopting one (or more) orphaned child, for that one child we pray their world will be changed forever.
The adoption process from India is long and unpredictable. Our application has been accepted by a Hague Accredited agency and we are just about to begin our home study. I guess you can say we have a "paper-belly"! We have applied for a little girl and pray for her daily. She is already ours, we just need God to lead us to her. It is strange how you can miss someone you have never met. We believe God will guide our footsteps, as long as we are willing to move our feet and we may not know what our family portrait will look like in five years but God does...and that is exciting!
Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth. - Isaiah 43:6
It is important to realize that we adopt not because we are rescuers. No. We adopt because we are the rescued. - David Platt
