After a long 5 year battle with an inflammatory breast condition that brought about some serious medical issues and a finding of a high risk for breast cancer, my daughter was finally cleared earlier this year to proceed with treatment. Odette opted for a prophylactic double mastectomy with reconstruction. Her risk of becoming a victim of breast cancer was so high, it wasn’t a matter of IF she would get breast cancer, but WHEN she would get it. Since her children are still at an age that they need their momma, she opted for the mastectomy and finally had it done July of this year. She also was in the process of a divorce and needing to find a place to live for her and her 2 children.  She underwent reconstruction on September 20 and a few days after going home, ended up back in the hospital with a serious infection that set her back. My daughter is a fighter, and a very strong woman, that always manages for the best. Now, however, she’s in a place in life where she needs urgent and immediate financial help. If you know her, you know she is a helper and she will do what she can for those in need. It is hurting her spirit to know she has come to a place where she needs help to get by until she can return to work in November.
